Mother of Civilization Library

Mother of Civilization Library

In early December we had a request from a voluntary organization which sets up work in Indus Valley Sindh, the southern part of Pakistan, who have a project to help and facilitate a libraries program in Sindh, with the name of “Mother of Civilization Library”.

They wanted some books by Tony Buzan, and I  sent about a dozen books off to them, and was pleased to get the following two emails in reply.  Its nice to do this sort of thing anytime - but particulary when the focus is on helping people learn.

I got some criticism from someone from Pakistan that I shouldn't have supported this, as 'they are teaching Hinduism in a Muslim country', and to be honest I didn't even consider this aspect.  Personally I feel people should have the freedom to follow and teach their beliefs anywhere - as long as they don't interfere with or aim to harm others. I guess not everyone has the same view.

We want to express our great appreciation for your generosity in support of our Libraries program. Your personal commitment is incredibly helpful and allowed us to reach our goal. Your assistance means so much to us but even more to those deprived underprivileged people who will receive your gift of Books.

Thank you for considering our request and giving your time. You will truly make a difference in the lives of the Indus valley people, who will receive your books.

Yours Sincerely

Honorable Bill

We have received your donation of books for Mother of Civilization Library today dated 28-12-2011 the books have already been checked and properly cataloged in the library.  These are now available for use by everyone. Your books are a great addition to our library Program.

They will really help our people to gain more knowledge about internationally well-known writers on this subject of Mind Mapping. They are great reference books that we could use.  We hope that your generosity will be followed by many, school, college and university students and alumni in District Dadu Sindh.

Yours Sincerely
