- Keywords/Tags:
In 2010, the University of Southern Maine is offering a unique opportunity to visit the complex and compelling country of South Africa to study leadership in a developing democracy. Our travel is designed to expose us to leadership in a variety of cultural and functional environments, allowing us to explore first-hand concepts of leadership in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.
To give us an "inside" look at how leadership varies across cultures as well as to help us to know more intimately some of the finer aspects of leadership practice in this part of the world, a number of visits have been planned at sites throughout this spectacular country -- Robben Island, the Cape Winelands, Soweto, the Cradle of Humankind, and Kruger Game Park, just to name a few.
After preparatory study spring term, we will be traveling to Africa May 22nd-June 5th. For more information about the course, visit http://taracoste.homestead.com/SA470-670.html or contact Tara Coste via email at tcoste[at]usm.maine[dot]edu.
